The Lake Palace was built in 1754 by Maharama Jagat Singh II and the white marble to amaze tourists even today because it makes an incredible contrast with the blue waters.
The Jag Mandir Palace is also an island palace built in 1615. It is located on Lake Pihola and its beauty is enhanced by a giant sculpture made in stone and representing elephants and cenotaphs.
Besides the three famous palaces, Udaipur also has other significant attractions, like the Jagdish Temple or the Sahelyion-Ki-Bari, to mention just a couple of them. Sahelyion-Ki-Bari is a place for relaxing where visitors can admire lotus pools, fountains, flowerbeds and marble pavilions. It was built as a recreational site for the ladies in the royal family. The Jagdish Temple was built in 1651 to honor Lord Vishnu and it is the largest temple in Udaipur.
